Violets in Bloom

These violets where given to me by my sister while I was in the hospital for my surgery last year.  The flowers died a few days later mostly because they were sitting with me in my chair in the living room which was very dark.

I decided to put them in my workroom window for some color. They seem to love it in there. The only direct light is in the Morning.

I love to have plants where I work. When I had a job working in software development my desk was covered with multiple types of plants, fountain, small garden statues and of course my Japanese desk garden. I only left a 2 foot area in front of the computer to work. The rest of the 8 feet of my desk was an office garden. I think when I rearrange the workroom I am going to setup a desk garden in there.

Since I took this picture the violets have doubled in flowers and leaves.
I think I will find another violet plant with the really dark flowers to go with this one.

Still Here! Still Alive! Starting to Move on!

Well, I am still here!

Last year was a long journey that is finally starting to come to end.

My 2014 started with a doctors appointment that confirmed I had breast cancer. From there I went through many many different tests, Chemotherapy, Surgery and finally Radiation. I may share those experiences later on from my journal but for now I need to step away from it.

Everything was put on hold while I went through cancer treatment.  Now that I've got through all of that I am back and starting to work again. Moving forward is important to me. =)

Cheers!
